player from Turkey. I am Turkish, male and 22 years old. I have been playing
bass for over 10 years, and I am a member of a Turkish rock group. My musical
orientation is towards progressive rock and power metal, and groups such
as Dream Thater and Stratovarius. Also, I have to say that I am a MANOWAR
fan!!! I'd be happy to share experiences and ideas with other bass players

I play several basses,
but my favorite is my '95 Fender Jazz Plus. I have an Ovation acoustic
and an Ibanez fretless as well. My amp is a Trace Elliot 410 SHMX combo.
I also play a little guitar, drums, keys so I have a big room full of "toys".
I still consider myself mainly a bassist though. I would love to find some
other rock musicians in the Chattanooga area who would like to get together
and play some.

on guitar switched to bass, thanks to Mr. McCartney. I have dabbled in
alot of different styles but keep coming back to good ole 12-bar 3-chord
rock n' roll. For equipment, I have a Epiphone Les Paul Special Bass (my
baby), an Epiphone EB-0, A Sigma Acoustic bass, and a Fender Standard Stratocaster.
on the amp side, I have a Fender BXR 60 and an early 70's Ampeg V-2. my
main interest are The Beatles, KISS, Rolling Stones, and Clapton.

I'm a bassist full-time
since 1995. I first started (and still continue) as a guitarist. From that,
I knew a little bit of bass. But when I ateended the church I'm actually
in, they needed a bass player. I picked it up and have become, at least
in the church members-and some other bassists, too-ina very good bass player.
My biggest influences include Jaco (OF COURSE!), Geddy Lee, Abraham Laboriel,
Eddie Gómez, Mike Mills, Flea and Les Claypool, so I try to master
any style of playing. My biggest asset as a bassist is speed, Latin American
and ethnical rhythms the use of non-traditional licks and improvising.
My limitations are my hands' size (since I'm only 5'4 and usually playing
5 and 6-string basses, I have to work harder on some bass licks, specially
arpeggios. Always willing to improve and learn, I request to join this
list
